BREAD PUDDING

Pair with Blackstone Cabernet Sauvignon

Ingredients

3 cups cut up bread, whole wheat or multi grain bread, crusts trimmed
1/2 cup dried blueberries
1/2 cup dried apricots, diced
2 cups milk
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons vanilla
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cut up bread. Put in lightly buttered 2 x 8 x 2 pan.

Put bread in pan and sprinkle dried fruit over.

Heat milk. Combine butter with milk and cool to lukewarm.

Combine sugar, eggs and spices together. Slowly add milk mixture to egg and spice mixture. Mix well and pour over bread.

Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes.
