BLUE CHEESE BURGERS WITH BBQ SAUCE

1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
Jar of your favorite barbecue sauce
6 slices roasted or grilled onions
6 slices roasted heirloom tomatoes, lightly drizzled with balsamic vinegar
6 romaine leaves
Kaiser rolls or whole-wheat hamburger buns
Pour 1/2 cup olive oil into a 12" frying pan over medium-high heat; when hot, add shallots and garlic and stir often until limp but not brown, about 2 minutes.
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Gorgonzola cheese, and a touch of barbecue sauce.
Divide beef into six patties. Grill patties to desired doneness.
Place romaine leaf on bottom bun, then top with beef patty, onion, tomato, barbecue and bun top.
